What’s the best thing about your job?
One of the best parts of my job is the people. I have the opportunity to work across different teams, each bringing their unique perspectives while working toward a shared goal: radically reducing the burden of cancer. I’m constantly learning from my colleagues — whether we’re breaking down complex problems, delivering projects, or brainstorming new ideas together. I’m grateful to be part of a team that is so collaborative, mission-driven, and inspiring.
What’s the best thing about working for Navigating Care?
The best part of working at Navigating Care is connecting with clinics and patients, learning about their experiences, and understanding the challenges they face. It’s incredibly rewarding to take those insights and work with the team to solve real problems through our product. It’s even more satisfying when we deliver a feature that truly makes a difference in their day-to-day lives.
What are the toughest challenges you’ve had at work?
Since joining Navigating Care over four years ago, I’ve grown a lot — both professionally and personally. I was hired during the pandemic, when everyone was working remotely. Before that, I had relied heavily on building connections in person. Transitioning to a fully remote environment made it challenging to forge new relationships and stay connected to the pulse of the organization. That experience pushed me to be much more intentional about building a strong remote culture, especially within the Product team.
What’s the most unique job you’ve had before working here?
I have to dig back into my memories for this one — I’ve been in health tech for many years now! Before joining Navigating Care, the most unique job I had was working as a volleyball referee for middle schoolers while I was still in high school. I remember how much fun it was to watch the teams grow and improve over the course of the season.
What can you be found doing outside of work?
Outside of work, I love being outdoors. I live close to trails in the Greater Boston area, which has turned me into a bit of a trail runner. Most days, you can find me either out on the trails or curled up on the couch with a good book.
My husband and I also have an old E350 Ford van that was converted into a camper. We love spending weekends exploring the East Coast, posting up at ski lots or campsites. One of my favorite recent trips was biking through northern Vermont — the fall leaves were absolutely stunning!
